2 New Family Christmas Shoots

Well, doing the Carlisle family in front of the Christmas tree again this year wasn't exactly the plan. It wasn't the plan at all, but it was raining on the only day we could do the pictures before an out of town trip. And the Christmas cards had to go out before that trip. So, we changed our plans and did pictures with the tree again. But it wasn't bad. It was kinda funny that Jackson would smile and look at the camera when Maizeigh was whining, and Maizeigh would smile and look at the camera when Jackson was playing around pretending to be Ironman. After a few hundred shots we ended up with one that we liked enough to use for the cards. But a couple others were cute too...

This was a picture of the whole family, but the rest of them had weird expressions, if they were looking at the camera at all. But Little Miss Maizeigh looked so adorable in this one I couldn't not post it.

The Bustamantes had me meet them out at the Columbia, SC temple to get a few shots for their Christmas cards as well. Don't be fooled. Older children aren't always easier to photograph. They may be able to listen and do what you say, but that doesn't mean that they will! These kids obviously like each other because it was hard to get them to sit still and stop talking long enough to take some pictures. But it was nice to see a family getting along so well! Some of the candids were pretty funny too.

New Christmas Cards

I'll post my family's Christmas cards after I've sent them out. I don't want to spoil it for anybody!

The Carlisles liked last year's card so much that they wanted to do this year's in a similar way.

The Bustamante family was new to my makings this year. I actually sat down with Ms. Bustamante and made a rough draft of what she wanted before doing the real thing.

The Sheridan Family

Two very special people were baptized on Saturday and I felt honored to spend the afternoon taking pictures of their family on their very special day!

Age order doesn't always mean height order!

The Carlisle Family

He was saying "cheese" so well. Unfortunately, he only looked at the camera once in every 10 shots!

Oh, the joys of photographing a 2 year old!
(I love him!)

I think he's getting tired of that word cheese.

I can't look at this and not laugh. Come on, one more good one?

That's the sweet little boy I know.

**Photographing a family is always a challenge. Especially with young children. But it is very worth the experience. And it's a good thing I'm digital now!

Wedding Announcements and Christmas Cards

I have also made some wedding announcements and Christmas cards.
